Wyoming Ranch Country
Ranch country. Miles and miles of fence, open range and mountain ridges. Emmalee had never seen a cattle guard.
Wyoming Small Town
Country music blaring from the gas station PA. A coal train clanking through town in the distance. And a main street that runs straight into 100 miles of High Plains.
The Wrangler
We braved the motorcycles and made our way through the beautiful black hills to the town of Custer, where we stumbled upon the wonderful "Wrangler" with cheerful staff and great food.
Sturgis Factor
I know the locals are thankful for the steady stream of business the annual Sturgis Rally brings their way, but I would recommend planning around Sturgis for any future trips to the area. The roads and parking lots were filled.
This shot was taken at the Crazy Horse Memorial.

Four Men
Mt Rushmore is surrounded by beautiful country, and was filled with throngs of pilgrims. It was sobering to wonder, what would those four men think if they could see us today?
Bye Bye Badlands
We enjoyed the Badlands immensely but ultimately had to say goodbye. The Indians originally called them "White Hills"; in contrast to the nearby Black Hills, which was our next destination.
Big Horn Sheep
These juveniles have small horns, bt caught a glimpse of their Ram Tough papa. Wow. Glad I never had to meet him face to face.
More Perspective
I think the third photo in this group is another demonstration of perspective, and I think there are three tiny figures shadowed on the far wall.
Emmalee smiles.
The blue sky contrasts on the white stone.
